Onda Collection

Creating for the outdoors, the Pininfarina design team took inspiration from the dynamism, elegance and purity of ocean waves, the empty space that is created when a wave breaks, resulting in a void wave or tube (unda in Italian). The heart of the Collection is the structure, an aluminum strip that supports the cushions and becomes the iconic element of the entire Collection. Characterized by smooth lines - like those of a wave - the bar, beyond being an aesthetic element, also becomes a functional element, a regular arm that can be used to support objects. The choice of materials comes from Pininfarina's 360° design experience: aluminum - from the car sector - for the structure, and mills - used in yachts for their resistance - for the cushions. "We looked to the magic of nature to give life to Onda that is distinctive and, at the same time, able to integrate into different environments. The technology and know-how coming from different sectors make it truly unique" declares Paolo Pininfarina, Chairman of Pininfarina.
